MUSEUM STANDARD You must use museum board, no other board is acceptable. With this type of framing all materials used which come into contact with the subject must also be of museum standard: glass, backing, barrier card and tapes.

CONSERVATION STANDARD This category includes all original watercolours, limited edition prints, photographs, embroideries and tapestries. The minimum standard here will be conservation mount board. Glass should be conservation, clear or nrg. Backing should be HCOR3 HCORCON or TECK board (MDF is not suitable). Conservation barrier board and conservation tape should be used.

STANDARD/BUDGET framing This category includes anything not covered in the above groups. In this group, standard, white core and contract mountboards would be acceptable with MDF backing and ordinary tape.
